Kel-Tec RDB carbine replica, and what a rifle it is, the RDB (Rifle Downward-ejection, Bullpup) is a very interesting bullpup rifle ARES have produced and licensed by the American company Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc.
This manufacturer is already widely known not only on the military but also on the civilian market, due to, among other things, such designs as the KSG shotgun or the CP33 pistol. The RDB rifle itself is another development of the bull-pup compact configuration of the airsoft rifle we have come to love (or hate).
The rifle is designed in a bull-pup arrangement, thanks to which it maintains high manoeuvrability and relatively compact dimensions while using a very long inner barrel.
The ARES’s Kel-tec RDB is made mostly of a thick polymer material reinforced with nylon fibers, the gun has a very good centre of balance that sits nicely in the should and requires no fight with the wrist to keep it stable like some other bullpup designs.
Metal elements include the breech chamber, outer barrel, upper RIS rail, and dummy gas pipe, while the muzzle device, sling hooks and magazine release are made of steel
Adjusting the hop-up system can be found inside the magazine socket, the battery is placed under the front grip (DEANS / T-connect plug).
The rifle is powered by a dedicated ARES EFCS gearbox with a quick spring change function, a programmable MOSFET unit and a trigger equipped with a microswitch. In addition, the powerful High Torque engine and the already mentioned, long 430 mm inner barrel make the Kel-Tec RDB a very effective and versatile airsoft gun.
