You may not have heard of Stratiam before, but their products have brought new ideas to the market with regards to airsoft grenade systems. We've seen the Airsoft innovations Tornado grenade previously and their newer Cyclone impact & XL Burst banger grenades. we've seen the ASG Storm grenade develop since the release of the
Strataim line, but for all the gas powered, BB spraying, enemy slaying grenades out there we've found this is the best on the market for size, reliability and durability.
Let's start with the two dispersion systems they have. The first is the
Epsilon system, which as you can see in the picture below, fires BBs in unison out of a port on either side giving it a spinning effect on impact. The grenade spins furiously on the spot and flails the BBs along with it. The grenade holds a total of 106 BBs at an impressive 200fps when the gas is fully charged (see the instructional video below on how easy it is to load and arm). This means the 53 BBs pellets stacked on either side will rush to leave and spray across the room.
The second is the
NOVA48 system which is a separate case for £25 which has numerous precision holes to house the BBs. This case can hold up to 72 BBs but gives off a full 360-degree radial blast upon impact. The cases are easy to change over. Simply unscrew the top, unscrew the bottom, make sure to reinstall the rubber pad and screw onto the new case. You can see in the picture below the firing direction of the NOVA48.
The grenade is manufactured in CNC 7075 aluminium, the same which is used in aeronautical engineering and armaments. Each grenade is hand tested and checked for leaks before leaving the factory and is easy & cheap to repair if something does go wrong. The dimensions of the grenade are 42mm wide by 82mm height meaning it can easily fit snugly in small pouches and 40mm grenade pouches. For a solid block of metal, it only weighs 230g!
A few accessories are becoming available for the Strataim, such as a low profile molle holster,
priming tool,
maintenance kit and more in the future.
