King Arms M79 Grenade Launcher – Vietnam Era
The King Arms M79 grenade launcher or also known as the ‘Blooper’, ‘Thumper’, ‘Can Cannon’ (and many more nicknames) was brought into service in the United States Army in 1961 and was predominantly used during the Vietnam war. Numerous types of 40mm rounds could be loaded including explosive, smoke, rubber baton and flechette rounds.
Enough of the history, the King Arms M79 has a full wood stock and handguard with a full metal tube, sights, trigger and everything else. It features a safety catch on the top operated by your thumb as well as the spring-loaded & locking tube release just in front of it with a metal ejector for the 40mm moscarts.
This model of the M79 will work with most 40mm airsoft grenades/moscarts as well as the Tag Innovations systems.
