Miscellaneous items
There are a number of items that can be useful for Airsoft but don’t exactly come to mind right away which is where our list of miscellaneous items come in.
There are some things that simply have an Airsoft theme but are of no use in an Airsoft skirmish like shot glasses, tactical stockings, bottle openers and playing cards.
In a skirmish or in preparation for a skirmish, there are a number of items which can be useful.
Kombat UK Stealth Tape – Olive Green
If you have a particular type of attire, tape can be bought to match so that it doesn’t stand out if you are trying to stay hidden.
This option of Olive Green is the best neutral option to use if your attire isn’t made up of a specific look such as Coyote.
Airsoft Cleaning Rod (450mm)
Cleaning the barrel of your rifle is an important step in ensuring that your rifle performs to its highest capabilities.
Dirt, dust and sand can build up in the barrel and, if left uncleaned, can affect the accuracy and velocity of the rifle.
If a BB pellet is jammed, the cleaning rod can also be used to unjam the barrel though regular cleaning should lessen the chance of a BB pellet becoming jammed in the first place.
Emerson Gear Pmag USB power bank – Black
While you are out on the skirmish site, there won’t be a chance for you to charge phone or camera batteries which is why a power bank is a good idea if it is important for you to make use of these devices while you battle.
It is not only convenient to use but it is convenient to store on your person as the cables can be stored neatly away in its own section while the bank itself can be slotted in a standard sized magazine pouch.
Plate Carrier Hanger
With plate carriers being at a slightly awkward size and weight, you need to ensure you have a hanger sturdy enough to hold it up so that you can store it away safely.
FMA MIC Combat Application Tourniquet
This is a good accessory to add to the realism of battle if someone is shot to apply pressure to the injured body part.
However, it is also useful if someone ends up with an injury in the game as it can be used to restrict the blood flow if a player has been wounded by a fall or by the terrain.
mil-com 3 in 1 plastic whistle on lanyard
This whistle combines three small helpful accessories which are commonplace for many outdoor activities including Airsoft.
The whistle can be used to draw your team’s attention to something, to signal an attack or help someone find you if you require assistance.
With the number of different skirmish sites emulating real life battles, the terrains are often big and hard to navigate.
That’s where the compass as part of the whistle comes in to help give you a sense of direction if you find yourself deep in some woodland where all you can see is trees.
The thermometer is a nice touch although the likelihood is that you will have a rough idea of the temperature when you set out.
Enola Gaye Team Armband – Blue
(also available in red or yellow)
With everyone kitted out in their Airsoft attire, it can be hard to tell friend from foe even at a close distance.
Armbands are a simple way of assigning people to a team and ensuring there is no wasted effort or ammo from one teammate going after another.
TMC Flex Plastic Dummy Restraints (Yellow 3 pcs)
Another accessory to add to the realism, dummy restraints allow you to take prisoners from the opposing team and leave them powerless by pretending to tie them up until they are rescued by a member of their own team.
The dummy aspect of this means that you don’t have to worry about actually tying them up, the symbolism is there, so you don’t have to worry about tying it too tight or not tying it enough that they break free.
