0.2g - 0.28g BBs

Low weight airsoft BB's are the go-to choice for standard airsoft AEGs. Being the lightest, they pack the fastest feet-per-second travel time, but are more prone to being blown off course by the wind. To use heavier BBs effectively (0.3g+), your gun is likely to need some upgrades first.

0.20g to 0.28g Airsoft BBs

Lightweight BBs are the most widely used airsoft ammunition and the natural starting point for most players. This collection covers 0.20g, 0.25g and 0.28g BBs in standard, biodegradable and tracer versions.

Choosing between 0.20g, 0.25g and 0.28g

0.20g BBs are the classic choice for stock AEGs, gas pistols and spring guns, and they're widely used for chronographing at sites. 0.25g BBs are a popular step up for many standard AEGs, often giving a steadier flight path and better consistency than 0.20g once the hop-up is set. 0.28g BBs suit stronger AEGs and gas guns that can lift them properly. The best weight depends on your gun's power and hop-up, so try a few and see which flies straightest. If you want to move up to 0.30g or heavier, see our 0.30g to 0.36g BBs.

Standard, biodegradable and tracer

Many outdoor sites ask players to use biodegradable BBs, so check before your game. Standard BBs are often used at indoor sites where allowed. Tracer BBs glow when charged by a tracer unit, helping you see your shots in low light, and they're available here in green, red and blue. Browse our biodegradable BBs and tracer units.

Brands and pack sizes

The range is led by BLS, with bags of up to 5,000 rounds, 3,400-round Supreme Grade bottles and 1kg bags of tracers. We also stock Valken Accelerate BBs and Field Packs, as well as Strike 0.20g packs of 1,000 rounds. See the full BLS range and Valken collection.

Getting the best from light BBs

Light BBs are more easily pushed off course by wind, so set your hop-up carefully and adjust it when you change weight. Keep BBs clean and dry, never reuse dropped rounds, and check your site's FPS rules, as limits vary. A chronograph helps you check your gun's power with your chosen BB weight.

Storing and loading

Store BBs in their sealed bag or bottle, somewhere cool and dry, as damp and dirt can affect how they feed and fly. Biodegradable BBs in particular can be more sensitive to moisture, so reseal open packs after use. Bottles are handy for topping up magazines in the field, and a loader from our speed loaders and accessories range makes filling magazines much quicker.

Why quality matters

Well-made, seamless BBs of consistent size and weight help protect your inner barrel and hop-up rubber and give more predictable shots. Cheap, poorly finished BBs are more likely to jam or shatter, which is why we focus on proven brands.
