One of the most important pieces of equipment in airsoft is your goggles. Not only do they protect your eyes from BBs, but they also allow you to see in low-light conditions. This is why many players invest in a quality pair of airsoft night vision goggles (or NVGs). Read more ➡

Choosing Airsoft Night Vision
Night vision can add a huge amount of realism to your loadout, and working devices can help you see in low-light games. Whether you want the look or the function, Socom Tactical has got your back!
Dummy Night Vision
For most airsoft players, a dummy NVG is the most popular choice. These non-functional replicas, such as the FMA dummy PVS-31, PVS-15 and AVS-9, give you an authentic special forces look at a fraction of the cost and weight of the real thing.
Other dummy models in the range include the FMA PVS-21, the four-tube GPNVG (Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggle) model and the PAS-29 thermal imaging add-on, which can be combined with a dummy NVG for a more detailed setup. Several dummies come with a hard case for storage and transport, and the PVS-31 replica includes a functioning glow effect for extra realism.
Working Night Vision
Working night vision devices amplify available light or use infrared to let you see in the dark. Performance varies a lot between devices, so consider image quality, comfort and how the device mounts to your helmet before you buy.
Comfort & Mounting
Like most airsoft tactical gear, you want your NVGs to be comfortable, especially if you're going to be wearing them for extended periods of time. Some things to look for include:
- A secure, comfortable helmet mount
- Good balance on your helmet – a counterweight can help
- Compatibility with your other airsoft gear
Find helmets and mounts in our helmets and headwear and dummy and dress-up collections.
NVG Mounts, Adapters and Lanyards
A night vision setup is only as good as the way it attaches to your helmet. Most NVGs connect to a shroud on the front of the helmet through a mount, which lets you flip the device up out of the way when you don't need it. This range includes several popular mount styles:
- L4 G24 and G69 style mounts from FMA and Tak Tak, available in nylon and a choice of colours.
- AKA2 and TATM mounts in black or dark earth, with the TATM designed for PVS-15 and PVS-18 style units.
- PVS-14 single and dual adapter mounts for running one monocular or pairing two together.
- The GSGM AVS-9 mount, a functioning mount to suit AVS-9 style goggles.
Before you buy, check that the mount suits both your NVG model and your helmet's shroud. FMA's NVG lanyards for the Ops Core VAS three-hole shroud, in black, tan and OD, add a retention line so your device stays attached if a mount is knocked open.
