Rapax Sniper Springs and Upgrades
The spring is the heart of a bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle. Every time you cycle the bolt, you compress it, and when you pull the trigger it drives the piston forward to fire the BB. That makes the spring one of the most important parts to get right when you're tuning a sniper for consistent, site-legal performance.
Rapax springs in our range
Rapax springs are rated by energy output, which makes it easier to pick one that suits your rifle and your site. Our range includes:
- Rapax 2J+ Easy Pull Sniper Spring: designed for a lighter bolt pull.
- Rapax RMS 2J+ Easy Pull Sniper Spring: a further 2J+ easy pull option.
- Rapax 2.8J Sniper Spring: a higher-energy option.
- Rapax 3J+ Light Pull Airsoft Sniper Spring: for players who need more energy while keeping the pull manageable.
Rapax Power UP Rings
Power UP Rings let you adjust your sniper's power without changing the spring. They're a handy way to fine-tune your rifle so it sits just under your site's limit, or to tweak performance after other upgrades.
Choosing the right spring
- Know your limits: sites set their own power limits for bolt-action rifles, so check them before choosing a spring, and always chrono your rifle after any change.
- Match your build: the energy a spring produces depends on the rest of your setup, including the cylinder, barrel and hop-up, so results can vary between rifles.
- Consider the pull: easy and light pull springs make cycling the bolt more comfortable over a long day.
- Check compatibility: make sure the spring suits your rifle's platform and spring guide before ordering.
Looking after your spring
Springs can lose a little power over time, especially if a rifle is stored cocked or used heavily. Always decock your rifle before putting it away, and if you notice your chrono readings dropping or becoming less consistent, a fresh spring is often the simplest fix. Keeping your cylinder, piston and hop-up in good condition will also help you get the most from any spring.
Why upgrade at all?
A stock spring may not suit the limits at your site, or may make the bolt heavy to cycle. Swapping to a spring chosen for your build can make the rifle more consistent, easier to use and better suited to the sites you play.
Fitting a new spring is usually straightforward on popular platforms, but if you're unsure, a qualified airsoft technician can help.
Complete your build with our sniper upgrades, including VSR and SRS upgrade parts, or check your power with an airsoft chronograph.
