Which Battery Does My Optic Need?
Small electronic devices use a wide range of button and coin cell batteries, and they aren't interchangeable. The easiest way to find the right one is to check the battery already in your device or the size printed in its manual or on its battery cap.
Coin Cell Batteries
Coin cells are thin, flat 3V lithium batteries. We stock CR2032, CR2016, CR1632, CR1620, CR1616 and CR1220 cells. These are commonly found in red dot sights, holographic sights and lasers. The CR1616 is listed for T1-style sights.
Button Batteries
Button cells are small 1.5V alkaline batteries used in compact devices such as illuminated reticles, small torches and tracer units. Our range includes LR44, AG3 / LR41, AG9 / LR936, AG10 / LR1130 and Eunicell AG11 batteries, plus the Eunicell 23A / L1028, a small cylindrical battery used in some remotes and electronic devices.
Reading Battery Codes
For coin cells, the number usually tells you the size: the first two digits are the diameter in millimetres and the last two the thickness in tenths of a millimetre, so a CR2032 is 20mm across and 3.2mm thick. Button cells often have several names for the same size, which is why we list equivalents such as AG3 / LR41.
Tips for Longer Battery Life
- Turn your optic off, or set it to its lowest usable brightness, when you're not playing.
- Remove batteries from kit you're putting away for a long time, to avoid leaks damaging the contacts.
- Carry a spare in your admin pouch so a flat battery doesn't end your game.
Find an optic in our holographic and red dot sights, or a light in our gun torches and illumination range.
