Each brand offers a slightly different approach to airsoft gas - Abbey includes more silicone in its composition, which helps to lubricate and better maintain parts of a gun's internals during usage, prolonging performance before a re-greasing is needed. Whilst still containing a high degree of silicone, Nimrod Tactical hosts a greater range of performance options, with their Professional and Extreme tiers providing a higher power output than Abbey's strongest gas, Predator Ultra.

Tokyo Marui pistols, or any airsoft pistol with a plastic slide, require a weaker airsoft gas due to their plastic construction being unable to withstand the force of high-powered gas. Nimrod Tactical's Light gas is designed specifically for plastic-slide pistols, finding the perfect balance between performance, efficiency and long-term usability.

Only use a stronger airsoft gas where necessary; with more power comes greater wear on a guns internals over time. Gas blowback DMRs are likely to require high-power gas in order to reach their ideal performance, but users of ordinary GBBRs should seek a balance between satisfactory performance and long-term sustainability.
