CGE HPA Tanks
CGE HPA tanks give you a dependable supply of high-pressure air for your HPA airsoft gun. We stock two sizes: the compact CGE 13ci tank and the larger CGE 48ci tank, so you can choose between a small, lightweight air source and one that lasts longer between fills.
What does an HPA tank do?
HPA (high-pressure air) guns run from compressed air stored in a tank, rather than from batteries or gas. The tank connects to a regulator, which reduces the pressure to a level your gun's engine can use, and an air line carries that air to the gun. Because the pressure is regulated, HPA setups are known for consistent shot-to-shot performance and for working well in cold weather.
13ci or 48ci?
The number refers to the tank's volume in cubic inches. A 13ci tank is small and light, which makes it easy to fit in a pouch or mount on a stock, and it suits players who want a minimal setup or who play shorter games. A 48ci tank holds considerably more air, so you can play for longer before refilling, but it's larger and heavier to carry. Many players choose a 48ci as their main tank and keep a 13ci for lighter loadouts.
What else do you need?
To run an HPA gun from a tank, you'll typically need a regulator, an air line (or remote line) and fittings that match your gun. You'll also need a way of refilling the tank, such as a fill station connected to a scuba tank or a compressor. Check that your regulator suits the tank you choose before ordering.
Carrying your tank
How you carry your tank affects comfort and handling. Smaller tanks are often mounted directly on the rifle or stock, while larger tanks are usually carried in a pouch on your plate carrier, belt or back, with a remote line running to the gun. Make sure the line is routed so it won't snag on kit or undergrowth.
Looking after your tank
Always fill to the pressure marked on the tank, never above it, and keep threads and O-rings clean and free of grit. Store your tank somewhere cool and avoid dropping it or leaving it in direct sunlight.
