Umarex Airsoft

Umarex is well known for officially licensed replicas, working with firearms brands to produce airsoft guns that closely follow the look of the real thing. Our current range includes the Umarex H&K HK416 A5 AEG airsoft rifle, available on its own or as a starter kit bundle.

Umarex H&K HK416 A5 AEG

The HK416 A5 is an electric airsoft rifle (AEG) carrying official H&K branding, making it a popular choice for players who want a realistic replica for skirmish or milsim. As an AEG, it runs from a rechargeable battery, so there's no gas to buy and it performs consistently in cold weather.

Starter kit bundle

If you're new to airsoft, the starter kit bundle is a convenient way to get going. Check the product page for exactly what's included, then add any extras you need, such as eye protection, BBs or a gun bag.

CO2 cartridges

We also stock Crosman CO2 cartridges in packs of 10 for CO2-powered airsoft pistols and replicas. Always check that your gun is designed to use these cartridges before fitting one.

Buying an airsoft rifle in the UK

Airsoft guns like the HK416 A5 are realistic imitation firearms (RIFs). In the UK, full-colour RIFs need a valid defence such as UKARA, while two-tone versions can be bought by anyone aged 18 or over.

Essential extras

Whichever way you buy, make sure you've got suitable eye and face protection before your first game, as most sites require full-seal eye protection as a minimum. A gun bag protects your rifle in transit and keeps it out of sight when travelling to and from your site.

Batteries and charging

Check the product page to see which battery type and connector your rifle is set up for, then choose a matching battery and a suitable smart charger. Never leave batteries charging unattended, and store them safely when not in use.

Is an AEG right for you?

AEGs are often recommended for newer players because they are straightforward to run and maintain. They suit a wide range of game types, from woodland skirmishes to CQB sites.

Getting the most from your AEG

Use good-quality BBs, keep your battery charged and stored correctly, and clean the inner barrel regularly to keep your rifle shooting consistently. Spare magazines are also a good investment, so you spend less time reloading on the field.
