Description
Description
Not every gas gun wants full green gas power. Abbey Predator Gun Gas 144a is the softer option in the Predator range. It's a medium power gas that gives roughly the same pressure as the old 134a, which makes it a safe choice for lighter, mostly plastic pistols and for guns the manufacturer says to run on 134a.
It's also the one to reach for on hot days. Gas pressure climbs as the temperature rises, so on a warm summer site a stronger gas can push a pistol's FPS too high or put extra strain on the slide. Plenty of indoor CQB sites prefer lower power gas too.
Like Abbey's stronger Ultra gas, it has UPL+ lubricant mixed in, which keeps seals and O-rings supple every time you fill a magazine.
Key specs
- Brand: Abbey Supply (UK)
- Power: medium (similar to 134a)
- Size: 700ml can
- Built-in UPL+ silicone lubricant
- Best for: plastic-slide pistols, 134a-rated guns, indoor play and hot weather
Worth knowing: always chrono your gun on the gas you plan to use, and check your site's rules. If your gun feels sluggish in cold weather, a stronger gas such as Abbey Predator Ultra may suit it better.
