Content Guide - What do I have to do?

Airsoft has all sorts of avenues, from Mil-Sim, Speedsoft and everything in between. So we'll leave the style of the content up to you. However, there are a few guidelines we'd greatly appreciate you following:

No Hard-Selling - Please, no '🔥🔥 OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST AIRSOFT GUN EVER!!! 🔥🔥'. We pride ourselves on being an airsoft store with a reputation for honesty, and we try to avoid hyperbole in our marketing as much as possible. Keep it down-to-earth.

Minimal AI-generated content - Posts which consist largely of AI-generated content will not be supported. Whilst we keep AI-generated material out of our own social media content, we understand that some of you may rely on it for certain tasks.

After all, some of the biggest Airsoft 'Tubers get a little help from Sloptimus Prime every now and then. But if AI has done all the heavy lifting for your post, this is incompatible with Socom Tactical's brand image.

No link promotion on Socom Tactical's own media - This includes our social media pages and our WhatsApp group. However, we are more than happy to share your posts on our pages at our discretion, and you are welcome to comment and engage with Socom Tactical's own posts.

Here's a few suggestions on where to post your links:

  • YouTube - Video descriptions, Channel bio, Posts (these are the static images you sometimes see in your feed from channels that you've subscribed to)
  • Instagram Stories and Profile Bios - Instagram doesn't allow functioning links on posts and reels. As far as posts go, links only work on IG stories. You can add your link to your profile bio, for which we'd recommend Linktree if you have more than one affiliate link. Don't forget to mention 'Link in Bio'.
  • TikTok - You probably already know the drawbacks to posting airsoft content to TikTok; they have a very low tolerance for anything explicitly gun or RIF-related. However, anything that isn't a gun - parts or tactical gear - won't be a problem. Links can also be troublesome on TikTok too, as your post can be flagged for links to any other website. Best to treat it like Instagram, keep links to the bio.
  • Avoid posting links to Facebook - links to websites selling RIFs are frequently (albeit incorrectly) scanned by Facebook's own bots as 'Firearms sales', resulting in your post being taken down and your page issued a warning. Multiple warnings can result in the suspension or termination of your FB page. For this reason, we highly advise against posting your link on a FB post or in a comment - keep it in your bio or send it via DM.
