Frequently Asked Questions

Need To know more?

Are These Dummy Items Functional?

No. Items in this collection, such as the dummy PVS-31, flashbangs and M67 grenades, are inert replicas designed for appearance only. They contain no pyrotechnics and have no working functions.

Will the NVG Lanyard Fit My Helmet?

The FMA NVG lanyards are designed for Ops-Core VAS-style three-hole shrouds and attach to a Wilcox-style mount. Check your helmet's shroud before ordering.

Can I Use Dummy Grenades in Games?

Dummy grenades are inert and designed for loadout realism only. If you want grenades that have an effect in game, take a look at our airsoft pyrotechnics range, and always follow your site's rules.

Dummy and Dress-Up Gear

Authentic details make a milsim loadout. This collection brings together inert replica equipment designed purely for looks, so you can recreate a specific unit or role without the cost or weight of the real thing. None of these items are functional devices.

Night vision and helmet accessories

The FMA dummy PVS-31 is a non-functional replica of the dual-tube night vision device and comes with a hard case. NVG lanyards for Ops-Core VAS three-hole shrouds are available in black, OD and tan, and the TMC PHT HALO air mask clips to your helmet for a special forces look. Pair them with gear from our helmets and headwear, and see our night vision goggles if you need a working device.

Dummy grenades and holsters

FMA dummy flashbangs and WBD dummy M67 fragmentation grenades are 1:1 replicas with no pyrotechnic content, and the M67 is also available as a MOLLE set. The FMA flashbang holster fits MOLLE or a belt and has a quick-release button.

If you want working pyrotechnics, browse our airsoft pyrotechnics. To build out your rig, see chest rigs and plate carriers and grenade pouches.

Why Add Dummy and Dress-Up Gear?

Milsim and reenactment players often aim to recreate a specific unit, role or period, and small details like night vision, grenades and holsters make a big difference to the overall look. Inert replicas give you that look while being lighter, cheaper and safer than the real equipment.

Other Items in This Range

The FMA voice-activated reaction transfer device is another inert dress-up piece for your rig, and the FMA M67 grenade holster in black is designed to carry an M67-style replica. The FMA flashbang holster is available in black and dark earth.

Building a Look

  • Start with your reference: photos of the unit or role you want to recreate help you pick the right items and place them correctly.
  • Think about weight: dummy gear adds bulk, so balance looks against comfort for long games.
  • Secure everything: use lanyards and holsters so items don't fall off during play.
  • Check site rules: some sites have rules about carrying items that look like pyrotechnics, so check with the site if you're unsure.

Inert replicas are designed for looks only, so treat them as part of your costume rather than as working equipment.

Brands in this collection include FMA, WBD and TMC. Finish your look with morale patches and tactical shirts and tops.
