Airsoft Helmets
When it comes to choosing an airsoft helmet, there is a range of types, styles and colours to choose from.
This includes FAST-style helmets and bump helmets, which often feature side rails and a front shroud for attaching accessories such as headsets, masks and night vision equipment.
FAST Helmets
Airsoft FAST helmets are replicas of the helmets used by special forces around the world. Airsoft versions are usually made from ABS plastic or similar materials, keeping them lightweight while protecting your head from BBs.
The FMA FAST helmet is a popular choice, and FAST helmets can be fitted with headsets, helmet lights, Night Evolution markers and goggles. Add a cover such as the Kombat UK BTP helmet cover to match your camo.
Bump Helmets
Bump helmets are popular because they're lightweight and comfortable. Most have foam pads and velcro panels to make sure your head fits snugly and is comfortable to wear during your skirmish.
A whole host of attachments can be added to bump helmets. Popular accessories such as cameras, helmet lights, headsets and face masks make them very versatile.
Airsoft Baseball Caps
In between play - or at sites that allow them - you may want to wear a baseball cap! They offer some protection from the sun and can be used to hold your hair back while you play. Many feature hook and loop panels for your favourite patches.
Airsoft Helmet Accessories
There is a huge array of airsoft accessories that can be connected to your helmet. Some of the most popular attachments include:
Headsets - for communication with your teammates.
Masks - to protect your face from BBs. See our masks and goggles.
Cameras - to record your airsoft battles.
Night Vision - dummy or working devices for a realistic loadout.
Helmet Lights & Torches - to help you see in dark or low-light conditions.
Whatever airsoft headgear you require, Socom Tactical can help you choose the right setup for your needs. Just get in touch, and our team will be glad to help!
Covers, Hoods and Face Protection
As well as helmets, this collection covers the extras that go with them. You'll find helmet covers from FMA, Kombat UK, Emerson Gear, Oper8 and KMCS to match your camo, along with FMA arc rail adapters, bungee sets and counterweight pouches. For colder or more covert games, there are balaclavas, snoods, beanies, watch caps and boonie hats, plus a helmet-mounted mask option.
Choosing a Helmet
Think about how you will use it. A lightweight bump or vented style is comfortable over a long day, while a helmet with full rails suits players who carry lots of accessories. Check the size range before buying, then adjust the internal pads and retention system so the helmet sits securely without moving when you run. If you add weight to the front, a counterweight pouch at the back helps balance it. For helmet lights, browse our torches and illumination.
