Anti-glare for stealthy play
The honeycomb's cells shade the lens from light at an angle, so the sun cannot catch the glass and reflect it back towards the enemy. That helps any player stay hidden, and it matters most while you are aiming, when your optic is pointed straight at the enemy.

Each honeycomb is shaped to its corresponding Guardian model, so choose the same optic as for your protector. It swaps in and out with the clear lens, so you can switch between the two to suit the game. Like the clear lens, the honeycomb stops BBs, so your optic stays protected.

It does two jobs. It stops BBs, protecting your optic just like the Guardian's clear lens, and it cuts glare and reflections from the front of your optic. Sunlight catching an optic's lens can flash from a long way off and give away your position; the honeycomb shades the lens so that reflection is far less likely.

Slightly. The honeycomb pattern is visible when you aim through your optic, mainly in the peripheral areas. It leaves a large area free to view through, meaning accuracy is not disrupted. That is the only trade-off for the added concealment.
