Sniper Mechanics Flamingo AEG Bucking

The Flamingo AEG brings the design of Sniper Mechanics' original Flamingo to AEG hop units. Before release it was tested over a long period in a huge number of builds, with a wide range of barrels, chambers and nubs.

Compared with a standard AEG rubber, it has an optimised patch radius, an improved feed lip angle and better fitment, and the contact patch is larger to suit barrels with a fully open window. It uses the same material as the original Flamingo and comes in 70A, which performed best overall in testing. It's designed for 0.30g BBs and heavier, so it suits upgraded AEGs and HPA builds chasing range.

Compatibility

It works with most AEG inner barrels, including Maple Leaf, PDI, Lambda, XT, ZCI, Madbull, EdGi, Faceless and Modify, and with most stock barrels, although some stock brass barrels have small windows that limit how well the hop works. Most hop chambers work very well too, including Silent Sniper, ZCI, SHS, Maxx Model, Prowin and its clones, and the majority of stock chambers.

A few combinations don't work well because of tolerances: the Novritsch SSR249 chamber, Specna Arms stock brass barrels in AK chambers, Krytac M4 chambers with the stock brass barrel, the very first Maxx Model MTW hop, and the Ares VZ58, which can be fussy with some barrels.

Fitting tips

• Use a barrel with a large hop window
• Any small concave nub works well, such as the Maple Leaf Omega nub
• Lubricate the outside of the bucking before fitting. The material is very grippy and many stock hop units have seams or moulding flash that can catch it, and damage caused by removing an unlubricated bucking isn't covered.
