SniperMechanics Perseus VSR10 / SSG10 Hop Chamber

The Perseus is Sniper Mechanics' hop chamber for the VSR-10 and SSG10, developed and tested over many years and many versions. Its headline feature is true TDC (top-down) hop adjustment: the adjuster passes through the top of the chamber and presses straight down onto a purpose-built nub, designed around the Flamingo bucking.

You adjust the hop with a low-profile wheel on the outer barrel, which attaches directly to the chamber, so there's no tape or glue involved. A detent gives very small, clicky micro-adjustments that won't wander on their own.

Why it's consistent

• Close tolerances give a near-perfect air seal with most buckings, and the best results with the Flamingo
• Three-point alignment, two points at the bottom and one at the top, greatly reduces inconsistencies caused by outer barrel flex or rotation
• During fitting you can centre the hop unit in the outer barrel relative to the nozzle
• Alignment is easy: fit the bucking, place the nub and press down, and you can see whether the bucking is aligned before fitting a single screw

Before you fit it

• For unbridged barrels only, with a big enough hop window, such as the Sniper Mechanics steel barrel
• You'll need to drill new holes or widen existing ones where required. A drill guide and drill bit are included.
• Don't overtighten the side retention screws, as this can and will damage your inner barrel
