Description

The factory plastic spring guide in a Tokyo Marui SCAR SRE next-gen gearbox can break easily, especially once the gun has been upgraded. This FPS replacement is made from ergal rather than plastic, making it a sensible first step if you are planning a stronger spring.

Its ball bearings let the spring turn freely as it compresses and relaxes. That takes torsion off the spring and lowers the chance of it snapping, which matters most on upgraded guns. The guide is anodised for a smooth finish, and its rim is shaped to sit happily with most springs currently on sale. FPS says it adds +2/3 m/s to BB speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which gun does this spring guide fit?

It is made for the gearbox of the Tokyo Marui SCAR SRE next-gen. For the Tokyo Marui M4 SRE, FPS make a separate ergal ball bearing spring guide.

Why choose a metal spring guide over the plastic one?

Plastic spring guides can break easily, especially in upgraded guns. This one is ergal, and its ball bearings let the spring spin freely, which reduces tension and the chance of the spring breaking.

Will it work with my spring?

The rim is shaped to be compatible with most springs currently on the market. After fitting any new spring or guide, check your power with a chronograph.
