Airsoft Pistol Recoil Springs

The recoil spring returns your pistol's slide after each shot. A stronger spring gives a snappier return and more reliable cycling, especially on full auto or with stronger gas, and helps reduce wear on the slide and frame.

Choose recoil springs for the AAP-01, Hi-Capa, G-series and Umarex Glock from Cow Cow, Pro-Arms, Tridos, NexxSpeed and Hi-Capa Hub.

Frequently Asked Questions

Need To know more?

What do recoil spring percentages mean?

They show strength compared with the stock spring. A 150% spring is 50% stronger, giving a firmer slide return.

Can a recoil spring be too strong?

Yes. Too strong a spring can slow cycling or stop the slide locking back. Match the spring to your gas and setup.

When should I upgrade my recoil spring?

If your slide returns sluggishly, you run stronger gas, or you shoot full auto, a stronger spring can help.

Will it fit my pistol?

Recoil springs are model-specific. Check each listing, or contact us with your pistol model.

Choosing a Recoil Spring

Recoil springs are rated as a percentage of the stock spring's strength. A 120% spring gives a slightly firmer return, while 150% suits stronger gas or full-auto use. Too strong a spring can slow the cycle or stop the slide locking back, so match the spring to your setup.

AAP-01

Popular AAP-01 choices include the Cow Cow 150% recoil spring, the Tridos recoil spring set of 4 and the Pro-Arms AAP-01 spring set.

Hi-Capa

Hi-Capa owners can choose the Hi-Capa Hub TORQ 120% or 140% springs, the Cow Cow RS1 or the NexxSpeed 120% springs (pack of 2). See more Hi-Capa upgrades.

G-Series and M&P9

For G-series and M&P9 pistols, try the Cow Cow enhanced recoil spring. Umarex Glock owners can fit the Pro-Arms Umarex Glock spring set.
