Frequently Asked Questions

Need To know more?

What Battery Does My Red Dot Use?

Many airsoft red dots use a CR2032 coin cell, while some T1-style micro red dots use a CR1632 or CR1616, and budget sights often use LR44 button cells. Check your sight's manual or battery compartment to be sure.

Are CR123A Batteries Rechargeable?

The Panasonic CR123A batteries we stock are non-rechargeable lithium cells. Rechargeable alternatives exist but may have a different voltage, so check your device supports them before use.

Will These Batteries Power My Airsoft Gun?

No. These batteries are for optics, lights, lasers and small accessories. To power an AEG, you'll need a LiPo, Li-ion or NiMH battery pack, such as those in our 7.4v and 11.1v LiPo ranges.

Batteries for Airsoft Optics and Lights

A flat battery at the wrong moment can leave you without your red dot or torch mid-game. This collection stocks the most common cells used in airsoft optics, weapon lights and accessories, so you can keep spares in your kit bag.

Coin cell batteries

The CR2032 is the coin cell used in many airsoft red dots and reflex sights, as well as plenty of illuminated scopes and small electronics. We also stock CR1632 and CR1616 cells, which are used in some T1-style micro red dots, and CR1220 cells for smaller devices.

Button cell batteries

LR44 batteries (sold in pairs) are small 1.5V alkaline cells used in many budget and mid-range red dot sights, laser units and small torches. AG3/LR41 and AG11 button cells suit a range of small devices.

Weapon light and specialist batteries

The Panasonic CR123A is a non-rechargeable lithium battery used in many weapon lights, including popular rail-mounted torches. The 23A/L1028 is a small high-voltage battery often found in remote switches.

Which battery do I need?

Always check your device's manual or battery compartment for the correct battery type, as using the wrong cell can damage your equipment.

Some battery types look almost identical but differ in size. A CR2016, for example, is the same diameter as a CR2032 but thinner, so it isn't a direct swap. We also stock AG10 / LR1130 button cells, sold in pairs, for devices that need them.

Brands

Our battery range includes cells from Duracell, Eunicell and ACM, alongside our own stocked coin and button cells, so you can pick up the right replacement without a trip to the shops.

Storage and safety tips

  • Keep spares in their packaging until you need them, so loose cells don't touch each other or metal objects in your kit bag.
  • If you won't use an optic or light for a while, consider removing the battery to reduce the risk of leaks or corrosion.
  • Coin and button cells are dangerous if swallowed, so always keep them away from children and pets.
  • Dispose of used batteries at a recycling point rather than in household waste.
  • Carry a spare for each optic and light in your loadout, especially before a long MilSim or night game.
