Heavyweight BBs for Airsoft Sniper Rifles

Heavyweight airsoft BBs are used to greatly improve the accuracy of your airsoft gun.

Whilst using 0.28g BBs and higher, you will need to primarily use single shot as the heavier weights wear down your hop rubber a lot quicker unless you have a higher degree.

0.28g and 0.30g airsoft BBs can be used in airsoft AEGs firing right on 350 FPS (or your country's equivalent legal limit) to maximise performance, and heavier weights like 0.32g or 0.36g are more in the DMR and sniper rifle category.

Heavy Weight BBs are effective in most airsoft sniper rifles up to 0.43g.

Choose from our leading brands, including Proball, ASG Blaster, and Valken. Our heavyweight BBs are available in a range of colours and are of consistent size thanks to high-quality tolerances of +/- 0.01mm.

Choosing the Right Weight

Heavier BBs carry more energy for the same muzzle velocity and are less affected by wind, which helps them hold their line at longer ranges. The trade-off is that they need more hop-up to fly flat, so match the weight to your gun's power and hop unit. As a general guide:

  • 0.28g to 0.32g: a good step up for upgraded AEGs and gas rifles.
  • 0.36g to 0.40g: popular for DMRs and lower-powered sniper builds.
  • 0.43g to 0.50g: best suited to tuned bolt-action sniper rifles with a strong hop.

The right weight is the heaviest one your gun can lift flat with its hop-up set correctly, so try a few weights if you can.

BLS BBs

Our heavyweight range is centred on BLS, with BBs from 0.28g through to 0.50g, including 0.30g, 0.32g, 0.36g, 0.40g, 0.43g, 0.45g and 0.48g. Lighter weights come in larger packs of around 2,700 to 3,500 rounds, while 0.40g and heavier come in packs of 1,000. Several weights are available in biodegradable versions, and there are 0.28g biodegradable green tracer BBs for use with a tracer unit. Many outdoor sites require biodegradable BBs, so check your site's rules first.

The range also includes the Xtreme Precision biodegradable 0.28g BB bottle and a BLS magazine-style BB bottle for easy refills in the field.

Storage Tips

Keep BBs sealed, dry and out of direct sunlight, and never reuse BBs that have been dropped, as dirt and damage can affect accuracy and harm your barrel and hop rubber. Browse by weight in our 0.3g to 0.36g and 0.4g to 0.5g collections, or see all biodegradable BBs.
