Description

The E&C MCX 9.5″ is an electric airsoft rifle (AEG) built on the same platform as our E&C MCX Spear LT 13″, with a quick-change V2 gearbox and a factory-fitted E-Shooter Kestrel Basic ETU. Its shorter barrel and 9.5″ handguard make it a more compact option for close-quarters play, while keeping a modern, programmable MCX set-up that is ready to use straight out of the box. Available in Black, Grey and FDE.

E-Shooter Kestrel Basic ETU

The Kestrel Basic electronic trigger unit replaces the standard trigger contacts with a programmable MOSFET. It offers five levels of pre-cocking for sharper trigger response, active braking to stop over-spin on semi-auto, and locked-rotor protection for the motor. Programming takes three steps and needs no laptop or app.

Quick-change spring gearbox

The QD V2 gearbox allows the main spring to be changed without removing the gearbox from the receiver. The rifle shoots within typical UK site limits out of the box, so no spring change is needed, but when the spring eventually wears it can be replaced in minutes. A metal-toothed piston is fitted as standard.

Front-wired with PEQ battery box

Unlike most M4-style AEGs, which are rear-wired and need the battery housed in the stock, the MCX is front-wired. The battery sits in the included PEQ-style box, which mounts on the 9.5″ handguard rail alongside your other attachments. As the handguard is shorter than the 13″ model's, it is worth planning your rail layout around the battery box. If you'd like to add more, take a look at our ranges of gun torches and illumination, grips and handles and red dot and holographic sights.

Rear Picatinny stock mount

As the stock no longer needs to hold a battery, the rear of the receiver features a Picatinny mount that accepts a wide variety of stocks. This gives the MCX a far greater degree of customisation than a standard M4, so you can set it up to suit your role and play style.

With its compact length and a programmable ETU fitted from the factory, the MCX 9.5″ suits players who want a quick-handling rifle for CQB and woodland sites, as well as those moving on from their first rifle who want better trigger response without paying for separate upgrades. If you would prefer a longer handguard with more rail space, take a look at the E&C MCX Spear LT 13″. For a compact take on the platform, check out the E&C MCX Rattler 6.5" LT.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the battery go on the E&C MCX 9.5″?

The rifle is front-wired, with the battery housed in the included PEQ-style box that mounts on the handguard rail. It takes a compact LiPo from 7.4v up to 11.1v. As the rifle has a factory-fitted ETU, running an 11.1v LiPo will not affect your warranty. It uses a Deans connector.

What is the difference between the E&C MCX 9.5″ and the MCX Spear LT 13″?

The two rifles are identical apart from their inner and outer barrel lengths and handguard lengths. Both share the same QD V2 gearbox, E-Shooter Kestrel Basic ETU, front wiring with a PEQ battery box and rear Picatinny stock mount. The 9.5″ is the shorter, handier option for close-quarters play, while the 13″ gives you more rail space.

Does the E&C MCX 9.5″ take standard M4 magazines?

Yes. It uses standard M4/AR-15 AEG magazines, so most midcaps and hicaps you may already own will fit.
